Important Changes to GBP Accounts
TWINO is gradually transitioning to a simplified EUR-only account structure. As part of this transition, GBP-related services are being discontinued.
If you currently hold a GBP account, you can still access your account and withdraw your remaining GBP balance during the transition period.
If your GBP account is linked to an EU/EEA bank account that supports SEPA EUR payments
You can withdraw your remaining GBP balance without the €35 fee. During the withdrawal process, your GBP balance will be converted to EUR at the applicable exchange rate. Please note that the final EUR amount may depend on the exchange rate at the time the withdrawal is processed.
If your GBP account is linked to a bank account outside the EU/EEA, for example, a UK or Swiss bank account
To withdraw your remaining GBP balance, you have two options:
1. Add a valid EU/EEA bank account that supports SEPA EUR payments
If you add a valid EU/EEA bank account to your existing GBP TWINO account before requesting a withdrawal, your remaining GBP balance can be converted to EUR and withdrawn without the €35 fee.
2. Withdraw to your current bank account
If you choose to withdraw your remaining GBP balance to your current bank account without adding a valid EU/EEA bank account, a fee equivalent to €35 will be deducted from the withdrawal amount. In addition, the minimum withdrawal amount for such withdrawals is €50 equivalent in GBP.
Step-by-step: How to avoid the fee
Make a manual bank transfer from your new EU/EEA bank account that supports SEPA EUR payments.
Include the following payment reference:
“Change SEPA IBAN investorID: [your investor ID]”Wait until the new bank account has been registered. Once registered, the deposited funds will be returned.
After the new bank account has been added, your remaining GBP balance can be converted to EUR and withdrawn to this account without the €35 fee.
Can I continue investing on TWINO?
Yes. If you would like to continue investing on TWINO, you may open a new TWINO account in EUR using a bank account located in the EU/EEA that supports SEPA EUR payments.
When will my GBP account be closed?
Your GBP account will remain active during the transition period while there are active investments or remaining funds on the account. Once all investments are completed and the remaining GBP balance has been withdrawn, the GBP account will be closed. Additional reminders and relevant information may also be displayed on your TWINO dashboard to help you complete the necessary steps.
