How it works
Inactivity fee
Why are you introducing an inactivity fee?
Some investors maintain funds in their accounts without initiating new investments for extended periods. Even in the absence of new activity, these accounts continue to require ongoing operational support, as well as regulatory and reporting oversight.
Many European investment and brokerage platforms already have similar inactivity fees. By introducing this fee, we aim to:
Encourage investors to stay active or withdraw unused funds.
Cover the operational costs of dormant accounts.
Keep costs fair for our active investor community.
Who will be affected by the inactivity fee?
We’ve designed the fee structure to be fair and protective, with safeguards for smaller balances.
There are two investor categories:
Category A: No Active Investments
You have money available in your account, but no active investments, and you haven’t invested for 6+ months.
Fee: €10 per month, until your balance reaches €0.00 (it will never go negative).
Category B: Has Active Investments
You have active investments but haven’t added any new investments for 6+ months.
Fee: €10 per month, with important protections:
-No fee if your available balance is less than 15% of your portfolio value, OR less than €50.
-The fee will never reduce your balance below €50.00.
When will the fee apply?
Notification: We’ll notify you each month before any charges are applied.
Fee Application: The inactivity fee will be charged on the 1st of the following month.
Ongoing: The fee will recur each month until you make a new investment or your available balance is depleted.
How can I avoid the inactivity fee?
Keep your funds invested. The simplest way to ensure continuous activity is by using Auto-Invest, which automatically allocates your funds according to your selected criteria.
Withdraw unused funds. If you do not plan to invest, you can withdraw any available balance from your account.
What if I only have a small balance left?
Don’t worry — we’ve built in safeguards:
The fee will never reduce your balance below €50.
If you’re in Category A, the fee stops once your balance reaches €0.
If you’re in Category B, no fee is charged if your available balance is already below €50 or less than 15% of your total portfolio.
