How does two-factor authentication (2FA) work?

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security designed to protect your TWINO account from unauthorized access — even if someone knows your password. It helps prevent attacks such as phishing, password leaks, or other forms of cybercrime.

With 2FA enabled, logging into your account requires not only your password but also a second verification step — a one-time security code generated on your phone. This means that even if someone has your password, they still won’t be able to access your account without also having access to your phone.

On the TWINO platform, 2FA works through a one-time security code generated by an authentication app.

How to enable 2FA:

  1. Go to the “My Profile” section and open the “Two-Factor Authentication” option.

  2. Download and install the Google Authenticator app (available on both Android and iOS).

  3. Scan the QR code shown on the screen or enter the key manually in the app.

  4. The app will generate a 6-digit verification code — enter this code to complete the setup.

Once enabled, you’ll be asked for a new 6-digit code from the authenticator app each time you log in.

How to disable 2FA:

  1. Go to the “My Profile” section and open the “Two-Factor Authentication” tab.

  2. Before you can disable it, you’ll need to enter the 6-digit verification code generated by your authentication app.

  3. Once the code is entered, click “Disable” to remove the extra security layer.
