Recovery Completed

TWINO has completed the recovery of all outstanding investor funds related to loan claims originated by Moneza, our former Russian loan originator. The final remaining balance has now been recovered, bringing the total outstanding exposure to zero and closing the Moneza RU chapter.

Moneza loan claims were listed on the TWINO platform under the previous Assignment agreement model starting in 2016. Shortly after Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, TWINO discontinued all previous business activity and did not initiate any financial instrument listings connected to Moneza and Russia under new MiFID II license.

The recovery process was significantly affected by capital controls and restrictions introduced by the Russian authorities, which limited the amount of funds that could be transferred out of the country. As a result, available recovery options were constrained .

Since 2022, recovered funds have been distributed to investors in monthly tranches. Over the past year, TWINO also introduced buyback offers, giving investors an additional option to exit their positions earlier.

“Some events cannot be predicted, and their consequences can create significant complexity. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the restrictions that followed made the recovery process exceptionally challenging. I am pleased that, through a disciplined and persistent approach, we found a way to protect our investors’ interests and recover all outstanding amounts. This outcome reflects our commitment to taking responsibility, even when circumstances are outside our control,” said Nauris Bloks, CEO of TWINO.

Today, the outstanding balance is zero. All principal and interest due to investors has been recovered and paid. TWINO has no remaining exposure to Moneza or Russia.

Thank You

We recognize that the length and uncertainty of the recovery process may have caused concern and frustration, and we sincerely apologize for this.

We would like to thank our investors for their patience and trust throughout this process.
