CEO News: September 2026

What does it really take to make a considered investment decision? This reflection explores why clear information, education and context matter just as much as access.

CEO news

Introduction

I have always loved Berlin. It is a vibrant city, full of energy, where every visit seems to bring something new. Recently, I had the opportunity to present TWINO there as part of a Latvian delegation led by the Minister of Economics. The audience included institutional investors and family offices- a very different group from the retail investors we usually have in mind when we talk about TWINO.

That difference stayed with me. Preparing for an institutional audience encourages you to explain an investment in the context of a wider portfolio. What role could it play? How do its risks and returns compare with other opportunities? What are the liquidity conditions? And what information supports the investment decision?

As I thought about these questions, I realized how relevant they are to every investor. Whether someone is allocating millions on behalf of a family office or investing part of their monthly salary, they need to understand what they are investing in, where the return comes from and what could affect it. The amounts and objectives may differ, but each decision deserves careful consideration.

The resources available to make those decisions, however, can be very different. Institutional investors often have specialist teams, research tools and dedicated time to assess opportunities. Individual investors usually have to fit that work around a full-time job, family responsibilities and many other demands on their time. They should not need to become financial analysts to understand the essential features of an investment.

That, to me, is one of the important responsibilities of a company that makes investing more accessible. Access alone is not enough. People also need explanations and education that help them understand their choices, including the risks and limitations. A headline return can catch someone’s attention, but it cannot tell the whole story. Investors need to understand what sits behind it and whether the investment suits their own circumstances.

Interestingly, I think this is one area where a mobile app can offer a better experience than a traditional website. A smaller screen encourages us to think carefully about how we present information, breaking it into manageable steps and placing explanations close to the choices an investor is making. When developing our new app, we put a lot of thought into explaining product terms, functions and features. The aim was to make learning a natural part of using the platform, with useful information available when a question arises.

This is something I would like us to develop further. Beyond explaining individual products and features, we can do more to help investors understand how investments with different risk, return and liquidity characteristics might fit together in a balanced portfolio. My visit to Berlin reinforced that ambition - to make the thinking behind investment decisions easier to understand and apply. Whatever the size of your portfolio, you should have the information you need to assess your options and make considered decisions.

Latest on TWINO

We have released several updates to the TWINO mobile app. You can now invest in both the Primary and Secondary Markets and configure automatic transfers of investment repayments to FLEXI directly from the app. We have also fixed several bugs to improve the overall experience.

Download the TWINO app here: [IOS] [Android]

Latest on Rentals

We are expanding our sales channels and marketing efforts to reach more potential buyers. However, interest remains low, and there are currently no new deals in the pipeline.

Latest on Recoveries: Vietnam

We are continuing the process of legalizing all necessary documents through the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden. Unfortunately, this process is progressing slowly.

Latest in Poland

There have been no material developments regarding either the implementation of CCD II in Poland or the ongoing UOKiK proceedings involving Fincard.

Conclusion

I returned from Berlin with a renewed appreciation for the questions investors ask us. Each one helps us see where we can explain something better, improve the experience or provide information that is missing. If a term, feature or investment on TWINO leaves you with questions, please let us know. Your feedback helps us build a platform that supports you in making informed decisions.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.

Warm regards,

Nauris Bloks
