Senior JAVA Developer

TWINO is looking for a Senior Java Developer to join our team and help build, evolve systems that power real investment products used by customers in Europe.
What we are looking for
- Comfortable working in an agile / lean environment (Scrum, TDD, pair programming, code reviews)
- Strong experience writing automated tests (unit and integration)
- Solid experience with Git and distributed version control
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful and/or SOAP APIs
- Experience working with Linux-based environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and JPA
- Familiarity with the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JUnit5, Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Graylog, PostgreSQL
- Optional, but highly valued experience with modern web development technologies, including Angular and Bootstrap
- Optional, but highly valued familiarity with the following languages and technologies: Kotlin, Groovy, Kubernetes, Prometheus.
- Optional, but highly valued experience with AI tool integration in software development life cycle
- Experience working in the FinTech industry is highly advantageous, as it demonstrates familiarity with the unique challenges and requirements of the financial technology sector
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable server-side applications using Java and Kotlin
- Collaborate with project managers, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Build and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers using JPA and Hibernate
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services using Spring Boot
- Write clean, self-explanatory unit and integration tests, clearly documenting system behaviour
- Use Git for version control and collaborate through code reviews and shared ownership
- Work with infrastructure and frontend teams to support CI/CD pipelines and smooth deployments
- Stay up to date with relevant technologies and backend best practices
- Maintain dependency security, addressing vulnerabilities identified by automated scanning tools
