AML Specialist

As AML Specialist you will ensure compliance with the laws and regulations on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing across TWINO Investment Platform.
Your responsibilities
- Monitor internal normative documentation implementation and development in accordance with AML/CTF requirements and TWINO procedures
- Conduct customer due diligence and customer enhanced due diligence (EDD)
- Monitor customer transactions and activities
- Investigate alerts in regards to potential money laundering, terrorism financing, and sanction breaches
- Identify suspicious activities and submit suspicious activity report (SAR) to FIU
- Respond to state authority (FIU, FSA) requests
- Ensure TWINO platform customer activity compliance with laws and internal regulations on AML/CTF
- Evaluate compliance of internal normative documents with the requirements of regulatory enactments
- Support other team members in AML/CTF projects
- Analyze customer activity information and prepare reports for management
- Support with internal employee training in the field of AML/CTF
- Employee counseling on compliance with regulatory enactments in the field of AML/CTF
- Improving AML processes in cooperation with IT developers
What we are looking for
- Proven experience in know your customer activity compliance in the financial services sector
- Knowledge of regulatory enactments regulating financial services in Latvia and the European Union
- Knowledge of legal acts and their application in the AML/CTF field
- Excellent knowledge of Latvian and English
- Knowledge of German and Russian will be considered as an advantage
- The existence of a CAMS certificate will be considered an advantage
